Twitter users have been going off on Samantha Brick, the UK Daily Mail writer who wrote an article claiming that women hate her because she is beautiful. Even though the 41-year-old is receiving all these negative remarks, she still took the time to appear on TV and say that she stands by her article.
Samantha Brick Daily Mail Article: Writer Shocked At Backlash Over ‘I’m Too Pretty’ Brick’s article entitled, “‘There are downsides to looking this pretty’: Why Women Hate Me For Being Beautiful,” detailed the hard life she lives as a “beautify woman.” She explains that while she gets gifts from men all the time, women constantly are jealous of her beauty. “I’m not smug and I’m no flirt, yet over the years I’ve been dropped by countless friends who felt threatened if I was merely in the presence of their other halves,” Brick continued in her article.
Yesterday on “This Morning TV,” Samantha Brick took some time to defend her article against the hateful comments it has been receiving. ”It’s not that I believe it-I believe the perception of it, and the perception of how men approach women. Do I think I’m good looking? Yes I do. Is that a crime?” she asked. “Women do not like attractive women. I suggested the article after waving at one of my neighbors in France, someone whose boys play at my house, and she totally ignored me. It got me thinking about how the Sisterhood attacks beautiful women.
